Returning for all of your holiday needs, Holiday Markets are a family-friendly way to not only cross items off your holiday shopping list, but get the whole family in the holiday spirit. The first market will take place on Tuesday, November 26 with the primary focus being on food and fresh ingredients for your holiday meals. The following Sunday markets will feature plenty of Michigan-made gift options ranging from clothing, art, jewelry, beauty products, and more. Built for those who build. We highlighted some Thanksgiving cooking classes that will help you prepare for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, with one of them being Eastern Market’s fall cooking classes. Some post Thanksgiving classes include the kids classes featuring Upper Peninsula dishes on Saturday, December 7, New Orleans dishes on Saturday, December 14, and an intergenerational class on Ramen recipes on Saturday, December 21. Classes are $25 per person while kids and adults can enjoy the intergenerational classes for $35 per pair. Detroit Lions Eastern Market Tailgating One of the best Eastern Market traditions is the tailgating before a Detroit Lions home game. You and your family can enjoy the energetic atmosphere on Thanksgiving morning, Sunday, December 15, and Sunday, December 29 before the season is over. Proceeds from tailgating will go towards growing local food businesses. The Shed 5 flea market will unwrap its holiday version on Sunday, November 24. The speciality flea market will include art, handmade jewelry, vintage clothes, speciality foods, and much more.
